Cranfield’s MSc in Management has been named the best in the UK in a new ranking published by The Economist.

The course was listed 7th in the world in the (published 25 May), the highest ranking for any UK business school.

The results were compiled from a combination of statistics and information from current students and recent graduates.

Professor Michael Dickmann, director of the programme, said: “We are delighted and honoured to have come top in the UK in this ranking from The Economist.

“We are very proud of our Masters in Management programme, which aims to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills to handle demanding managerial roles, including tackling complex business challenges.

“A large part of the evidence on which the ranking is based comes from feedback from our current and past students, which makes the result all-the-more pleasing, as they clearly attest to the quality of the course.”

Cranfield’s Masters in Management focuses on practical application of skills and includes a three-month, expenses paid in-company internship, giving students the chance to apply their newly-acquired knowledge in a real-world environment.

The Economist’s MIM rankings evaluated 40 business schools worldwide, scoring them on features like quality of teaching, diversity of students and the effectiveness of their careers service.

Cranfield School of Management was rated in the top 10 in almost half of the areas surveyed, scoring highly for faculty quality, student and gender diversity, programme content and choice of electives, and the diversity of businesses in which graduates were employed. Alumni also rated the School highly for its dedicated careers service.
