A short course on emerging applications of Solar Cells, tailored for industrialists, academic scholars, students, central and local governments officials (eg. energy managers, energy and sustainability managers) and businesses, looking at new and emerging applications to accelerate green energy transition to achieve Net Zero status.

This course brings together: novel ways of deploying PV panels beyond traditional uses, innovative and cutting-edge applications with new business opportunities (such as floating solar, agrivoltaics, new ways of using PV panels in green hydrogen generation, space-based solar cell deployment and energy transfer to earth), related regulatory requirements, new business models to accelerate deployments and the socio-economic and environmental aspects of new applications of PV.

Course is over three days with lectures and a half-day devoted to field tours and laboratory visits including Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Solar Farms, Solar Energy Research Laboratory, Green Hydrogen Facilities and Floating PV models in wave tank.

Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é is situated in Bedfordshire close to the border with Buckinghamshire. The University is located almost midway between the towns of Bedford and Milton Keynes and is conveniently situated between junctions 13 and 14 of the M1.
