Digital Forensics
The new MSc in Digital Forensics, offered by Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é in partnership with , will seek to address the academically-orientated operational needs of UK policing and serious skills shortage of educated and trained individuals in the field to fill digital forensic positions and support the UK’s criminal justice system.
Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology
The Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology MSc is a popular and fascinating MSc which offers you the chance to have a more hands-on approach to the practical elements of archaeology and anthropology. You will work with modules in simulated mass-grave and buried remains recovery scenarios and learn techniques in analysing, excavating and presenting findings.
Forensic Biology
Forensic biology is the application of biology to link a person(s), such as suspect or victim, to a location, an item or another person. It can be utilised to further investigations for both criminal and civil cases. Two of the most important factors to be constantly considered throughout the collection, processing, and analysis of evidence, are the maintenance of chain of custody, as well as contamination prevention, especially considering the nature of the majority of biological evidence.
Forensic Investigation
Learn, enhance and build on your knowledge of forensic investigation, presenting in criminal and non-criminal cases and how to succinctly analyse and explain a number of areas of forensic investigation. The course will allow you to choose a number of elective modules to tailor your experience and focus on capabilities you want, including modules in hazardous forensics, fires and investigation, and other roles intrinsic to forensic investigation.
