In a webinar on 23 February, Professor Richard Wilding OBE, Professor of Supply Chain Strategy Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Cranfield School of Management, discussed the new normal in logistics in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the session, Professor Wilding discussed:
- Why shorter, simpler supply chains with a focus on resilience are key.
- The new models which are structured around near-shoring and smaller, localised operations.
- How companies that understand their capabilities and are able to demonstrate flexibility will survive the pandemic in the best shape.
